We feel truly cherished here, I wish all parents and children could have all that the coop school offers. Children skip into school happily, teachers listen to family and student wishes and concerns. Music teachers write songs for our school, wood shop and science teachers collaborate in creative making projects. Joy, community service, uniqueness, innovation are celebrated and created here."

"We have 2 children at the Coop School and could not be happier. One thing that was really important to our family when we were searching for schools was a low student:teacher ratio and that the approach to teaching and learning was creative, individualized, and thoughtful. We have found that at the Coop School. Each child is treated as an individual with unique learning styles. The student:teacher ratio is amazing and each child gets the attention that he or she needs and deserves. Both of my children are really happy and are loving learning!"

The teachers are phenomenal, the inquiry-based curriculum is engaging and academically rigorous and the community is diverse. Plus, the School (currently up to 4th grade) will be expanding through 8th Grade!"

"The Co- op School is simply amazing. It's the first and only school my son has ever been to since we came to NY, and I couldn't have asked for a better school. It's a beautiful family. I love the fun learning system which makes it so much easier for us to work with him at home! Just weeks after being at the Co-op I' ve seen positive changes in my child. He was happier , more confident and more conversational- this boosted our relationship also. It's our second year here and it's unbelievable how much he's grown in so many areas esp academically. His creativity increased dramatically too, I can say , always in a corner putting scraps together to make something. The music and Spanish class are super fun and he adores them. Thanks to the Co-op he loves reading now! Most importantly he loves his school!The administrative staff is very professional, always friendly, loaded with patience and so helpful. The teachers are no less, they are hardworking and dedicated. They work with your child as well as you, always willing to give insight or share ideas. You have all the admin staff and teachers email address so you can contact them directly with any questions, concerns, issues etc - one of the many reasons I love The Co-op School- and you can't beat their prompt responses!The Co-op School is undoubtedly a wonderfully safe, pleasant and healthy environment for any child. We feel blessed to be a part of the Co-op family!"

"It's TRUE - the kids skip to school every day at the Coop! And at pick up, they are bursting with songs, drawings, paintings and stories of the day. There's something so comforting about having a child who you know is happy at school - it makes parenting a happier and more joyful experience all around. The teachers at Coop are exceptional - after just a few days, they develop a deep understanding of who each child is, what his/her interests are and how to fully engage each child on a daily basis. And, of course, the Coop's famous pillows and the "what-did-I-do-today" reports are fantastic."

"My 2 year old loves going to school and sings the songs she learns there all day! They have an anti bias curriculum and are learning about Maya Angelou and Jean-Michel Basquiat. I couldn't be happier with her teachers, the director, Meredith, and the rest of the staff there. What a welcoming, fun community to be a part of!"

"It's our 3rd year at The Co-op School, and my daughters have been students in both the Irving and Brevoort campuses. They have gone through Pre-K and K and are currently in 1st grade and Kindergarten at Brevoort. This school and its community is magical. The dedication of the parents and staff is unmatched, and I love how parents are an integral part of the students' lives. Our lives as parents are busy, but I never feel disconnected from what my kids are learning and doing at school. I love that their core values include compassion and community action. The students are truly learning how to be socially responsible, emotionally intelligent and critical thinkers through their exploratory, holistic approach to learning. We love it. "My twins are in the older twos class. Being a new parent you are not sure what you look for in a school program. I couldn't be any happier. All of the staff are caring, from the administrators, to the teachers and all the way to the security staff. My kids love going to school, playing with their friends and they are learning great life skills. What more could you ask for?"
